Lane Assist

Lane assist can significantly improve your driving experience. It makes for safer driving and it relieves your anxiety over which lane you should be in as you approach a complicate freeway interchange.

The following picture shows the lane guidance display. Notice the complex road pattern. However, the GPS indicates which lane to be in so you can navigate safely through the interchange.

Lane Assist alerts you to which lane you need to be in for upcoming turns. In the image above, the three middle lanes of this seven-lane highway are highlighted.

Here is an example of Junction View.

Junction View shows you a photo-realistic 3D view of upcoming turns with signage--signs not needed for navigation are faded.

Go to the Garmin Nuvi Comparison Chart and read the "Feature Summary" column to see if the GPS has Lane Assist or Lane Assist with Junction View.
